Teardrop Galileo Thermometer

This thermometer works on the principle discovered by Galileo, in that the density of a liquid changes as temperature varies. Each of the four glass balls is exactly weighted by being partially filled with liquid. When the temperature rises, the liquid in the glass cylinder becomes less dense, and the heavier balls sink slowly to the bottom. The highest floating ball reveals the current temperature. Made of hand blown glass with wooden frame. Perfect for a desk or window. Measures 10cm x 15cm x 5cm.
